Imminent Perils

John Beerman is a landscape painter and North Carolina native and current Hillsborough resident whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His work is in the collection of numerous museums across the country, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Imminent Perils, exhibited at BRAHM from March 8 to July 31, 2022, features recent works by Beerman that reside at the intersection of romantic landscape painting and contemporary environmental anxiety.
